• Task: Demolish underground personnel shelters and manholes. Import fill material to backfill the hole and compact to match the existing grade.
• Reason: The shelters were demolished because they were no longer in use, and costing the base maintenance and up keep.
• Process: The work was performed in-house. The shelters and the manholes were demolished using a large excavator with a breaker. The fill material was imported/compacted and the site was restored to match existing surroundings
